Kia Ora, I’m Jamie. I’m in my fourth year of Mechanical Engineering at UC, originally from Wellington, and I’m excited for my first year on the Lads exec.

I originally joined Lads Without Labels in first year because I was looking for a running club, and found Ugly Boys. But over the interviening years, UB has become so much more to me. Being part of Ugly Boys for the last few years has shown me how important it is for men to have a supportive environment where they can open up and be themselves. Taking on this role is my way of giving back to a club that’s helped me grow, and I’m committed to helping create the same positive, welcoming atmosphere for others.

Outside of study, I’m a keen runner, skier, and tramper, and I’ve recently thrown myself into triathlon in a big way. I love getting outdoors, meeting new people, and pushing myself in new ways. Looking forward to a great year ahead!
