Kia ora, I’m Oscar. This year I am so excited to be Lad’s Community Events lead! This role involves the planning of events like “Life Skills” and “Party Waves” – along with some new additions (keep your eyes peeled).

I am in my third year of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Media and Communications. On campus, I have loved being involved in the club’s scene. Lads play a critical role in this space by shining a light on the significance of mental health and well-being, while offering support and comradely for all members of our student community. Everyone on campus deserves to feel they belong. I’m looking forward to getting stuck into my role and continuing this kaupapa.

In my spare time, I’m a keen water baby and tennis coach. I also love to read and am part of the debating society here at UC. For 2024 we will put together an inclusive range of community events that cater to the men we care about, while also meeting the needs of our Rainbow community at UC. It’s going to be a good one!
