Kia Ora! My name is Will Jones, and I am a fourth-year student completing the first year of my master’s in child and family psychology. My role within Lads this year is on the events team for 2026. I am stoked to be involved with such a cool community and can’t wait to get amongst the events Lads are involved with. Originally from Christchurch, I have spent the last three years completing my BSc majoring in psychology down south in Dunedin, but I am excited to be back. I’m into my sports such as skiing, surfing and diving, alongside being kept busy with my current jobs as a mental health and residential youth worker, as well as lifeguarding.
I decided to get involved with Lads as I have been fascinated with all things mental health since I was young. My desire to help in this area aligns strongly with the values and aims of all members of the Lads community. Lads target these challenges in a positive light through events and other support systems, which aim to make these challenges just a little easier. It’s awesome to be able to help with some of these events!

We love connecting with our community. Whether you have a question, would like to support what we do or just want to know a bit more; feel free to flick us through a message and we’d be happy to chat!
