We are stoked to be joining the legendary community of the Student Volunteer Army for Connect the Community, on the 29th of July.

The SVA known for their incredible impact following the 2010 Canterbury Quakes where they mobilised over 11,000 students to support the city's clean up efforts. Amongst their other grassroot mahi, SVA know a thing or two about the power of volunteering to make tangible change. That's why our team has joined the SVA forces for a day to help grow the greenspaces up in the wider Canterbury community.

This event is the perfect opportunity to step outside and contribute to our community. By doing good, we can improve our own mental well-being and uplift those around us. Research shows that spending time in nature and engaging in acts of kindness can have a significant positive effect on our mental wellbeing. Through getting outside and doing good for our community, we can boost our own well-being while making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Mark your calendars for the 29th of July and join us for a morning of meaningful volunteering, followed by an afternoon of hot kai, discussions, live entertainment and sustainability stalls, courtesy of a bunch of UC clubs.
