The nitty gritty of relationships & sex.
The nitty gritty of relationships & sex.
Regarded as taboo, difficult or cringy, talking about relationships often gets left to the sidelines. Relationships can be incredible, but many of us know too well the hurt, whakamā, harm & heartbreak you can find yourself in. Whether it's a bad breakup, unhelpful communication, or unhealthy behaviours, our relationship experiences have a big impact on us and can affect our mental health.
Enter Thursdays in Black.
“Thursdays in Black Aotearoa is a national campaign run by, and for, students - aimed at preventing and responding to sexual violence in tertiary spaces.”
In collaboration, national campaign Thursdays in Black and Mens Mental Health charity Lads Without Labels with the support of UC's Student Wellbeing team, will be tackling the conversation of what healthy relationships look like, consent, boundaries, loving kindly and communication. As well as what you can do if you think you're experiencing an unhealthy situation and how to have the hard chats.
This event is all about setting the bar, being safe, being informed and loving a little better.
We look forward to seeing you!
