Speak Easy is Neighbourhood NZ's pioneering “Platonic Speed Dating” style event where anyone is welcome to meet new friends, share in conversation, play jenga and experience a safe, creative social environment.
“Conversation Cheat Sheets” are prepared in advance and act as a safety net to guide the conversation, avoiding anxiety about what to say, but also providing space for players to interpret these questions with humor, depth, simplicity or profundity.
Speak Easy Christchurch will see Neighbourhood join forces with @ladswithoutlabels and bring you a custom question booklet. @ladswithoutlabels will be adding a section of questions of their own, some to prompt self reflection and others to open conversation with men in our lives. Perfectly timed to kick off re-o week if you're a student, explore a new local wine and cheese bar or simply try something new and meet new mates, we can't wait to see you!
We often swim in the same circles, so Speak Easy provides a tangible space to meet new people, or learn more about old friends. Ask Neighbourhood NZ's curated list of questions and initiate witty, introspective conversation as you pull or place Jenga blocks.
