Celebrated annually around the globe, Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. Pink Shirt Day has been celebrated in Aotearoa since 2009, and the campaign grows stronger and larger every year. Show your support and stand together by wearing a pink shirt on the 18th and 19th of May.

This year, Lads will show support for Pink Shirt Day by facilitating a space for you to attend an online webinar hosted by Umbrella Wellbeing, along with providing some Kai. The webinar focuses on "The Importance of Early Identification and Prevention of Workplace Bullying," presented by clinical psychologist and Umbrella CEO Dr Dougal Sutherland.

It will take place on May 25th at 10:30am in Rehua 002. All are welcome!

See you in your Pink Shirt !
