Kia ora! My name is Maya,

A proud JAFA at heart, I moved down to UC to study and am currently in my 4th year studying a double degree in a Bachelor of Science (Geography) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics).

I am very excited to be part of the Lads team this year, as a Communications Officer on the Marketing team. As I have grown up, I have realised the impact mental health has on everyone, old or young, in their everyday lives. Through Lads Without Labels, I am very keen to help foster an environment where open conversations about mental health are actively encouraged and normalised, especially here within the university community.

Being a part of such an inspiring group of like-minded people is something I am very excited about being a part of in 2024.
