Kia Ora, Ko Tom tōku ingoa

No Ōtautahi ahau. I am a 3rd year Civil Eng student (even though I’m in my 4th year of study and 5th year out of school) and am looking to get into project management in the future.

Lads Without Labels stood out to me as something I could really get behind and a platform for which I could achieve something and help people. Mental health and those issues surrounding it is something that has worried me for a while now. As someone who has my own struggles and has witnessed close mates battle their own demons, I believe that destigmatizing this issue should be of the highest priority in NZ and worldwide. To create a society where vulnerability is celebrated and conversation is exected, is something that drives me, as I hope one day our yearly suicide statistics will be non-existent.

This is my third year on the exec and my second year as president! I’m super excited for all our events this year and excited to see all of our exec grow into their new roles!
